Andrew-Drewy

Isn't he the sweetest boy?!!!?! His chubs are SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!! This is one of my latest "photo shoots". None of Mckenna's pictures turned out, but this one was too adorable not to share!

HE DID IT...

This cute, cute guy SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT LAST NIGHT!!!! WoooOoOhHoooOOO! I can't believe how good it feels to not wake up at night :-)

This picture is of him watching the fireworks at South Padre Island. He loved them, but HATED the wind (that is why his head is being covered).

He now is 19 lbs, he eats like crazy, and LOVES his big sister! His favorite toy is a blanket. He loves to put it in his mouth (I think I should make him a taggy blanket).

We love our little Drewsky!!!

What Kids Say

Kids say the cutest things AND our kid is no exception.

Here are some of our favorites...

**We were at Macy's the other night and I walked away from Jeff and the kids**
Mckenna: Come on back, Mommy!
Me: Just a minute (not really paying attention to what she is saying to me)
Jeff: Did she really just say COME ON BACK?
Me: Huh?
Mckenna: (again...) Come on back, Mommy (this time slightly more worried, she really did want me to walk back to them)


**After Sunday dinner last week we drove by the San Antonio Temple on our drive home from my SIL house***
Me: Mckenna, do you see the Temple?
Mckenna: YEP (pronounced more like "yap")

We stopped at light to turn left onto a side street to see the Temple better and as we turned...

Mckenna: OH NO, I lost it Temple

Mckenna: I FIND IT!



**Any time we put her into the car she starts to worry about it being hot. We always tell her it isn't hot it is just warm. I guess we have taught her well**
Mckenna: Not hot, just a yittle bit woarm (that is the best way I can spell how she says it...)


She calls Andrew "Drewsky" or "An-dewsky" (sometimes sounding like "An-dooky").

Life goes on

As you can tell by my last post the first couple of weeks of having TWO kids were ROUGH!!!! I couldn't even make sense when typing a blog post that I could re-read and fix (haha- that last one was TERRIBLE, hopefully this one will be better!) We have had a very crazy and fun 2 months- woah, I can't believe Andrew is 2 months old! So much has happened so here are some clips from the last few weeks.

I forgot to order Andrew's outfit and didn't remember until the Tuesday before. Robby went to the store and picked it up for us and then mailed it! What a sweet brother!

Mckenna's first time on Chad's boat for this year and her very first time on the tub. She did awesome. I got to go along for the ride with the two kiddos!


Life has been wild, but I am glad it is slowing down a little. I am also SO glad that life is getting easier with two kids! Now was are planning on enjoying our summer. Swimming pools here we come!!!!

Hopefully my next post won't have to be so long with updates :-)

...It ONE full week! Woof.... One full week!

In general, baby #2 has been much easier! Labor was less the half of the time it was with Mckenna. The epidural was HEAVENLY and NO episiotomy (woohoo!!) Andrew's bilibrubin levels in the hospital were low, so he gets to eat like a "normal" infant (no waking him up every two hours to eat). The nurses were awesome in the hospital and I got to sleep!!!! Andrew sleep, eats and poops. He nurses and takes a bottle like as champ! He sleeps in 4 hour stretches at night. We got to have Grandma Gall come for several terrific days, which was the BIGGEST help!

BUT........ Toddler #1 has had a hard time. Poor girl! We brought Andrew home and that same night Mckenna started running a fever. She just had a virus, luckily, but she was pretty miserable. The next day the "adjusting" began. She was up until 3am, threw TONS of tantrums, and cried and cried and cried. It was so sad for her. Who knew the hormones would be harder to deal with in regards to the toddler than to the baby???

I am happy to report today that Mckenna is getting better and better every day. She is adjusting to life with a sibling. We have made some special trips just for her- to the zoo and park at La Cantera. Tomorrow Grandma Jones comes. Yay! I am ready for another few days of help before "real life" begins!
